Welcome to Walton Farms.  In the spring of 1968, Bob and I took a toddler and a newborn over 400 miles, to look at a yearling stallion who had won the weanling stallion class at the Ohio Quarter Horse Association Breeder's Futurity the previous fall.  In the process of trying to get the colt, the handler, and the four of us through a gate, the toddler went through the gate UNDER the colt.  There were many other factors in our decision to buy the colt, but that one incident was definitely important to us as we began our young breeding program.  Red Bad Ant stood at stud with us for 23 years and settled mares right up to his death in 1992. Our long range breeding program was to keep specific daughters of Bad Ant's to cross on another working line.  We obtained Canta Peppy directly from the King Ranch in 1984 as a yearling. He was humanely put down in 2006 at the age of 23. Now Canta's daughters are being crossed back on Me Bad Max, one of the last sons of Red Bad Ant. Lenas Trey Tivitos (Waylon) came to us in 2004.  The family tree was beginning to become a wreath so Waylon's last name is "Outcross".  We have been very pleased with his get and especially the way his is crossing on our Canta/ Max daughters. His get have dominated the Breeder's Classic. The so-called modern Quarter Horses were just starting to catch on when we bought Bad Ant.  Admittedly, it has not been easy over the years, but we truly believed in the foundation horses and have dedicated our entire program to them.  The consistency of our breeding program is obvious to even novice horse owners and openly appreciated by our peers.  We present to you CANTA PEPPY, ME BAD MAX and LENAS TREY TIVITOS.
